Mr  Abdul Ahad Mohammadi is a fellow Researcher at the Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS), Kabul. He holds Master of Arts in Sociology, from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. Mr. Mohammadi has more than a decade experiences of working with numerous national and international organizations.

Experiences

Mr. Mohammadi worked with a range of national and international organizations. From October 2009 through to June 2011, he was a research assistant at Afghanistan Research and Evaluation Unit (AREU) in Kabul. Upon finishing his Master’s degree, he joined the Peace Studies Department at the Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS), Kabul as its head. In this capacity, Mohammadi managed a set of research projects aimed towards examining radicalization across various sectors. He also oversaw studies on the peace process, constitutional amendments, social policies, and the political system in general. He served with AISS until late-2016. In addition to his regular work, Mohammadi has served as an independent researcher or consultant with UNDP/LOTFA, CSHRN, Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), Civil and Liberal Initiative for Peace (CLIP), AWJA& UN-Women among others.  Mohammadi is also the author of numerous research papers on diverse topics including politics, governance, police, security, legal reform, and human rights, etc.
