"Herat Urban Development: The Role of Public Participation in Social Development and Herat Urban Security" is a recent study by the Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies. It is conducted by AISS`s fellow researcher, Dr. Seyed Jalaluddin Faraji. He analyzes political participation, cultural participation, economic participation and psychological participation and in general the role of people in Herat urban development. On the other hand, this study has evaluated the relationship between participation and urban development.
