On February 12, 2022, the Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies held a roundtable discussion via Twitter Spaces on "Gender apartheid, the situation of women in contemporary Afghanistan". The panel discussion the situation of women in contemporary Afghanistan and their position in socio-political affairs of the county. Dr. Kaveh Gibran, Author and Zahra Mousavi, Social and women’s rights activists participated as speakers in the panel discussion. The Taliban’s gender apartheid and the struggle of women for freedom was discussed as the speakers explored solutions to improve the situation of women in Afghanistan. Some of the audience in the program shared their views and described the situation of women under the Taliban. The audience iterated that the international organizations and the Afghanistan diaspora should work to improve the situation of women in Afghanistan.
