On 28 May 2022, Afghanistan Institute for Strategic Studies hosted an online discussion on Twitter space on the Taliban’s internal divisions and intra-ethnic conflicts its impact on the future of Afghanistan.

At this timely discussion, AISS brought together distinguished speakers, Dr. Vaida Mehran,
Professor at the University of Exeter, Bilal Sarwari, Freelance Journalist, and Haress Jibran, a security analyst.  The discussion was moderated by Yasser Abrar, a journalist.

The panelists discussed the history, background, and causes of these inner divisions and conflicts and its consequences on the economic, social, and political situation of Afghanistan, and its longer-term implication on the future of Afghanistan.
