AISS Organized Second “Afghanistan-Central Asia Dialogue”


 

 

The Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS) organized the second international conference, “Afghanistan-Central Asia Dialogue” in Kabul on 13-14 December 2014. The forum brought together 120 officials and experts from Afghanistan, Central Asian Republics and representatives from wider world and international organizations. The conference was inaugurated by former Afghanistan National Security Adviser, Dr Spanta and the special representative of the UN Secretary General and Head of UNRCCA, Ambassador MIROSLAV JENCA.
The participants explored issues of common interest and concern between Afghanistan and the Central Asia in 8 working panels. During the conference, AISS also released the finding of its joint research project with PRIO and a book authored by a Tajik scholar translated by an Iranian expert on Afghanistan’s Cultural Heritage.
