AISS Organizes Book-launching Ceremony in Mazar-e-Sharif


 

 

On February 26, 2015, the Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS) organized a book launching ceremony to release, its recent published book, “Culture, Rituals and Beliefs of Afghanistan’s People” in the northern city of Mazar-e-Sharif. Government officials, diplomatic representatives, civil society activists, academia and media attended the launching ceremony .

Mr. Ahmad Zia Ferozpur, AISS’ regional representative, introduced the book, which symbolizes Afghanistan and the region’s shared cultural heritage. The Uzbekistan Consul General and Tajikistan vice Consul General in Balkh spoke at the opening ceremony as well provincial representatives. This book is consisted of seven chapters which each focuses on different aspect of Afghans’ life. This valuable book is written in Cyrillic by a prominent Tajiki scholar, Mr. Dada Jan Abudove, translated into Farsi by an Iranian scholar, Dr. Bahram Amir Ahmadian, and published by the Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS). The book is a symbolic collaberation among three Persian-speakings countries of Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Iran.
